Was it three years ago? Or four? Every morning before six, before I went to work, I used to listen to BBC Indonesia assembled radio. Ups, its was six years ago. So long ago, huh. I thought it was yesterday.
I like that morning news programs very much. And, not only news, there’s also an English lesson session. You know, English lesson from BBC always tasted different than others. It felt like learning to native English.
One that I always remember was learning an English phrase (?) from songs. If I’m not mistaken, it was “a phrase a day” or something. And, you know, my favorite one is “you might’ve” which is taken from R.E.M song, Leaving New York.
You might’ve laughed if I told you,
You might have hidden your frown.
You might’ve succeeded in changing me,
I might’ve been turned around.
It’s easier to leave than to be left behind,
Leaving was never my proud,
Leaving New York never easy,
I saw the light fading out….
So, the memory goes on huh, hahahaha…
